Adia Washington is a passionate Canine Professional with over two decades of experience specializing in family dog mediation and behavior improvement. Her journey began with a love for dogs that sparked a commitment to enhance their lives through understanding and effective communication. After shifting her focus to rehabilitating canines from abuse, neglect, and trauma, she founded Positive Pathways Academy, Virginia’s number-one doggy day school for rescues and shelter dogs.
As a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) and Licensed Family Dog Mediator (LFDM), Adia prioritizes the safety and well-being of every canine she works with. Her expertise is complemented by certifications in Raw Food Nutrition, Advanced Canine Nutrition, and Acute Canine Herbalism from Dogs Naturally University. She is currently studying Animal Osteopathy at the London College of Animal Osteopathy, where she is dedicated to continuous learning.
Adia advocates modern, ethical training methods. She emphasizes positive reinforcement and tailors her approach to each dog's unique personality and family dynamics. Adia is also a Training Mentor at Animal Behavior College, where she nurtures the next generation of canine trainers.
